You can request your free credit report from the three credit reporting agencies (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) once every 12 months. You can request all three reports at once, or space them out throughout the year.
For Immigration, they would request a report be recent, but one pulled within 12 months of submitting your filing is acceptable (as long as there are no major financial changes).
